Loretta loves lit. Her favourite pastime as a teen was hitting garage sales to stock a healthy antique book obsession.
She also discovered acting and voiced many commercials, CBC radio dramas and animated cartoons such as Madeline, Babar, Maxie’s World, Julius JR. and the ongoing Max and Ruby as Bunny Scout Valerie. Her favourite roles were the villains and demons she voiced for the Sailor Moon series.
While working at Mabel’s Fables Bookstore in Toronto, Loretta developed a deep understanding of contemporary books. Here she was a storyteller, bookseller and reviewer in this magical world and she was thrilled to be putting books into the hands of tomorrow’s big readers.
Meanwhile, with all those books piling up on her shelves, Loretta felt it was a good time to write a few stories of her own.
