BIO
Loretta's favourite pastime as a teen was hitting vintage book shops and garage sales to feed a healthy book obsession.
She also discovered acting and voiced many commercials, CBC radio dramas and animated cartoons such as Madeline, Babar, Maxie’s World, Julius JR. and the ongoing Max and Ruby as Bunny Scout Valerie. Her favourite roles were the villains and demons she voiced for the Sailor Moon series.
While working at Mabel’s Fables Bookstore in Toronto, Loretta fell head over heels in love with picture books. In this magical world she was a storyteller, bookseller and reviewer and was thrilled to be putting books into the hands of tomorrow’s big readers.
Eventually, Loretta felt that as wondrous as it was to read everything she could get her hands on, it was also time to write a few stories of her own.
